We are looking for a high level expertise in troubleshooting complex application environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a SW support engineer to join a leading solution provider and product vendor. The applications are developed in Java/ J2EE - so if you have an experience or interest in Java / J2EE - You don’t have to be a developer as long as you have been debugging Java based problems. Aside from that you should be technically curious and enjoy learning.The applications run on both UNIX platforms (Solaris, AIX and HP-UX) as well in the Microsoft environment. Some experience with Application Server / Web Server i.e. Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss, Apache is required. Knowledge of database technology or EAI is of great interest. Any language skills in either Italian or Spanish would be beneficial.
This is a classic Senior Technical support one. You will receive full product training and there are also excellent case notes from previous calls and good lab facilities. You will develop your skills and deal with complex customer faults. Your role will be to resolve them in the usual “timely and professional manner” and you will have the opportunity to liaise with the backline engineering team – and further develop your knowledge. This role is varied and interesting as you will be providing support to a wide range of large companies- both from the UK and mainland Europe.
